The Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass has been working with Melody before Cinema Quilt was even formed. It’s a wonderful feeling with clients return to work with you again over the years!

For this project, Rodney approached Melody knowing already that he wanted to incorporate drone footage. Going from there, they talked through several ideas until landing on the concept for “The Golden Trumpet,” which fans of the group will recognize from their performances.

There were many moving parts to creating this video, including filming with Rodney in the Philadelphia area and with the full group in Southbend, Indiana. Considering all of the people and locations involved, this project had an incredibly fast turnaround of less than 12 weeks!
